Each PFSA athlete is required to participate in at least one competitive event during the season.  Typically, at least one event each year is held at Seven Springs, and other regional competitions may be in  West Virginia or Western New York. As competition levels increase, events may be national.

In order to participate in competitions, athletes must -- in addition to their registration with PA Freestyle -- also be registered with the national organization for their applicable discipline. We urge you to complete this registration immediately after registering with PA Freestyle.  You can register for the membership at the following links:

***Athletes can train and compete in multiple disciplines. However, if an athlete wishes to compete in multiple disciplines, they must be registered for the appropriate national-level organization for that discipline (USSA or USASA).***

  • PA Freestyle accepts ONLINE PAYMENTS ONLY.
  • Registrations and forms must be completed by legal guardians, or persons 18 years of age or older.
  • PA Freestyle registration is not a season pass, and all athletes must have their own Epic Pass.
  • All athletes must wear a certified snowsport helmet, which is also approved by USSA.
  • Competitions at other mountains may charge their own additional fees, which typically include day passes for competitors, as well as discounted passes for family and training.
  • PA Freestyle may assess extra charges for athletes attending post-season events, including the East Coast Championships and Nationals.
  • Athletes are required to be involved and part of the team, including taking part in weekend and holiday camp training as often as possible (weather and health dependent).
  • Photographs and videos will be taken during the training of athletes for review and general distribution, including the website and social media.   If skiers/boarders or parents do not wish to have these materials posted online, please contact the PA Freestyle Program Director.
  • This is not a ski school program, but rather an opportunity for developing skiers and boarders to continue improving their skills. If you aren't sure about the programs or skills, please contact Program Director Julia Lang at [email protected] or (724) 454-8667.
  • A parent or guardian for each athlete must volunteer at least one of the team’s events (hosted by PA Freestyle) or volunteer for a committee.
  • All athletes 18 and over must complete the safesport training through USASA or USSA in order to train with the team
  • PA Freestyle will adhere to policies, procedures, and directions of Federal, State, and Local governmental agencies, Seven Springs Mountain Resort, and other venues as to the timing of, access to, or conditions of, any and all activities.
